Partner Tech Gains Verifone Commander Certification

Partner Tech has earned certification to integrate its AI-powered self-checkout platform with Verifone Commander. The integration gives fuel and convenience retailers access to Partner Tech terminals alongside existing Commander C18 systems. It opens the way for deployment across more than 55,000 fuel and convenience sites in North America, roughly 45% of all US fuel and convenience stores. Retailers can retain their payment, fuel, loyalty and store management infrastructure while adding self-checkout lanes.

Self Checkout With Theft Prevention

Partner Tech’s Alfred, Starling and Paula self-checkout terminals run on its Otter SCO software suite. The platform uses AI and computer vision for transaction monitoring, theft detection, barcode scanning and automatic item recognition. It also supports security scales, live video, age verification, lane monitoring and performance dashboards.

Integration With Existing Operations

Through the Commander integration, retailers can add one or multiple self-checkout lanes while continuing to manage payments, fuel sales, loyalty programmes, promotions and site operations through a centralised Commander Site Controller. The solution supports fuel prepay, age-restricted products and other core convenience store functions on existing infrastructure.

Availability Across North America

The certified solution is available immediately for convenience stores, travel centres and fuel retailers throughout North America, with availability planned for additional regions and markets worldwide. Partner Tech will showcase the solution at booth 6179 during the NACS Show, running from 7 to 9 October 2026.
