Getac Technology Corporation has launched its next-generation B360X and B360X Pro fully rugged notebooks for frontline professionals working in disconnected environments. The devices use Intel Core Ultra 5, 7 and X7 Series 3 processors, offering up to 180 TOPS of total compute performance on eligible X7-equipped B360X units. Both models feature a 14-inch WUXGA LumiBond display with 1,400 nits brightness, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Windows Hello Camera as standard. Getac is targeting users across public safety, utilities, manufacturing and defence.

Local AI Computing

The notebooks are designed to process data locally when access to cloud-based AI models is unavailable. Intel Graphics and Intel AI Boost technology support multitasking, data-intensive workloads and AI-enhanced applications, while enabling users to handle sensitive information closer to where it is collected.

The capacitive touchscreen can be operated with gloves and in rain, while the larger display is intended to improve usability for field teams. Getac said the systems can support tasks including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Geographic Information Systems, Automatic Vehicle Location, CAD software and 3D modelling workflows.

James Hwang, President at Getac Technology Corporation, said:

“The true value of Artificial Intelligence is not realized in climate-controlled server rooms, but at the absolute edge, where critical decisions shape our global safety, defence, and infrastructure. With the B360X and B360X Pro, Getac is tearing down the environmental boundaries of computing. We are ushering in a new era of 'Intelligent Resilience,' ensuring that those who protect and build our world have uninterrupted access to next-generation AI, regardless of how extreme or disconnected their environment may be. We are not just anticipating the future of the rugged industry; we are actively defining it.”

Connectivity And Security Options

Getac has equipped both models with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, with optional dedicated GPS, 4G LTE and 5G Sub-6 and SA connectivity. Customers can specify customisable I/O configurations, including up to two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, while hot-swappable dual batteries support extended field use.

Security features include a 5MP front-facing camera for Windows Hello, TPM 2.0, smart card reader, user-replaceable PCIe NVMe SSD and Getac Disk Wipe. Optional additions include a second SSD for up to 4TB of storage, an HF RFID reader and fingerprint reader.

Rugged Design For Field Work

The B360X and B360X Pro carry MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G and IP66 certifications, alongside 6ft, or 1.8m, drop resistance while in use. Optional salt fog certification is also available.

The B360X Pro adds dual high-capacity batteries as standard and can be configured with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell discrete graphics controller. Its optional media bay can hold a third battery or DVD drive. Both notebooks will be available in November 2026.
