Transaction announcement for Mount Pleasant Chevrolet GMC CDJR acquired by Lani Automotive Group.

Performance Brokerage Services has advised on the sale of Mount Pleasant Chevrolet GMC Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, from Coleman Automotive Group to Lani Automotive Group. The transaction gives Lani Automotive Group its first franchised dealership. Coleman Automotive Group acquired the site in 2025 and now operates six dealerships across Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. The dealership will continue trading under its current name from its existing location.

Coleman Group’s Growth Plans

Founded in 2024 by Kyle Coleman, Coleman Automotive Group is headquartered in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The group was established through the acquisition of three franchised dealerships in Spirit Lake and Estherville, and later expanded across the Midwest.

Kyle Coleman, President of Coleman Automotive Group, said:

“Selling Mount Pleasant with Matt Willis and Performance Brokerage Services was a great experience from start to finish. Matt understands this business, knows how to navigate the challenges that come with getting a deal across the finish line, and most importantly, does what he says he's going to do. As Coleman Automotive Group continues to grow, our focus is on buying larger dealerships in larger markets, and I absolutely look forward to continuing to work with Matt and the Performance Brokerage Services team as we pursue those opportunities. This business is built on relationships and trust, and Matt has become both a trusted business partner and a good friend. I'm excited about what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.”

Advising The Transaction

Paul Kechnie and Matt Willis, Texas and Midwest Partners at Performance Brokerage Services, acted as exclusive sell-side advisers on the transaction. Over the past five years, the brokerage firm has advised on the sale of nearly 450 dealerships.

Matt Willis, Texas & Midwest Partner at Performance Brokerage Services, commented:

“Transactions like this are why I love what I do. Kyle Coleman has become a close friend and an outstanding client through the deals we've completed together, and it was a privilege to represent him again in the Mount Pleasant sale. Helping Sam Saghbini and Sean Veilani become franchise dealers for the first time made this closing especially meaningful. Getting to the finish line took patience, hard work, and commitment from everyone involved. Seeing Sam and Sean realize their dream and begin building Lani Automotive Group made every challenge worth the effort. These are the relationships and experiences that make this business feel like so much more than a job. We get to help clients shape the next chapter of their legacy while others begin their own. It's an amazing feeling, and I'm grateful to have been part of it.”

A First Franchise Dealership

The purchase establishes a base for Lani Automotive Group’s growth in automotive retail. Sam Saghbini and Sean Veilani are beginning their dealership ownership journey with the Mount Pleasant operation.

Sam Saghbini and Sean Veilani of Lani Automotive Group shared:

“Buying our first franchised dealerships was a huge milestone for us, and having Matt Willis and Performance Brokerage Services involved made all the difference. There were plenty of hurdles along the way, and getting to the finish line took patience, persistence, and people who knew how to keep everything moving. Matt stayed engaged, helped us work through challenges, and brought the right people together when we needed them. Although PBS represented the seller, we always felt that Matt cared about our success, too. He took the time to answer our questions, talk through the next steps, and help us navigate a process that was new to us. His experience and commitment were a big part of making this acquisition happen. Matt and the PBS team are a one-stop shop for dealership buy-sells, with the relationships and knowledge to help bring all the pieces together. We are proud to begin this chapter with Lani Automotive Group, and this won't be our last dealership purchase with PBS. We want to continue growing with Matt and his team, and we look forward to building on the relationship that helped us get our start.”

Continuing Under Its Name

Mount Pleasant Chevrolet GMC Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will retain its name and current location as Lani Automotive Group begins its next phase in automotive retail.
