WC Tractor Sells Three Texas Sites to Splintered Oak
WC Tractor sells three Texas New Holland dealerships to Splintered Oak Equipment following an introduction by Performance Brokerage Services.

Performance Brokerage Services has facilitated the introduction that resulted in the sale of WC Tractor’s three New Holland dealerships in Brenham, Dayton and Sealy, Texas, to Splintered Oak Equipment. The transaction allows WC Tractor to concentrate on expanding its Kubota operations across Texas, while the newly formed Splintered Oak Equipment takes on established agricultural and outdoor power equipment locations. The dealerships will remain at their current sites and will be renamed Splintered Oak Equipment. Pat Albero and Dan Argiro, Senior Partners in Performance Brokerage Services’ Equipment and Commercial Truck Division, acted as exclusive advisers on the transaction.
Three Dealerships Change Hands
WC Tractor was founded in 1939 as a Ford tractor dealership in Brenham and had grown to 11 dealership rooftops across Central and East Texas by 2025. Its expansion began in 2002, building the family-owned business into one of Texas’ leading agricultural and outdoor power equipment dealership groups.
The company received Kubota’s Elite Award of Excellence in 2016 and was named Rural Lifestyle Dealer’s 2024 Dealership of the Year. Under Chris Wackman’s leadership, several WC Tractor locations also earned Kubota Circle of Excellence recognition, alongside Kubota Elite and Kubota Service Elite designations.
Building On A Prior Relationship
Performance Brokerage Services has advised on the sale of nearly 450 dealerships during the past five years. Its involvement with the buyer group also follows its facilitation of the 2022 sale of Conroy Tractor to the same ownership group.
Pat Albero, Senior Partner of the Equipment and Commercial Truck Division at Performance Brokerage Services, shared:
“This transaction was particularly meaningful given our longstanding relationship with the buyer. In 2022, Performance Brokerage Services facilitated the sale of Conroy Tractor to this ownership group, giving us firsthand familiarity with their operating philosophy, growth ambitions, and commitment to the equipment industry. Recognizing the potential alignment with WC Tractor, we made the introduction between the two parties and helped open the dialogue that ultimately led to a successful transaction. With the acquisition of WC Tractor, the newly formed Splintered Oak Equipment is positioned to build upon the strong foundation established by both organizations and pursue significant growth throughout Texas. WC Tractor brings an established market presence, talented employees, loyal customers, and a strong New Holland relationship, while Splintered Oak brings experienced ownership, resources, and an ambitious vision for expansion.”
Focus On Texas Operations
The divestment gives WC Tractor a clearer focus on supporting the continued development of its Kubota dealership operation across Texas. For Splintered Oak Equipment, the acquisition adds three operating locations, an established customer base and a New Holland relationship as it begins trading under its new name.
