LAZ Parking plans to create more than 1,000 jobs and career opportunities across North America within the next year under its LAZ 3.0 growth strategy. The mobility, transportation and parking company will also expand its Hartford headquarters for more than 100 additional employees. Tony DiPaolo and John Svendblad will become Co-Chief Executive Officers on 1 January 2027. The leadership changes sit within a continuity plan intended to retain founder involvement while supporting the company’s next generation of executives.

Leadership Continuity Plan

LAZ developed its Leadership Continuity Plan over the past two years, combining founder stewardship with internal leadership development. The company said the model is designed to preserve its culture, values and stakeholder commitment while supporting continued expansion.

Alan Lazowski, Chairman and CEO at LAZ Parking, said:

“While many companies focus on succession, we are focused on growth, continuity, and opportunity. We expect to create more than 1,000 new jobs and opportunities across North America within the next year while expanding our Hartford headquarters and investing in the next generation of leadership. Our founders remain committed to the company, our people, and our clients, and this continuity plan ensures that the culture and values that built LAZ will continue to thrive for decades to come.”

The plan has received recognition from Conscious Capitalism, which highlighted its focus on developing leaders from within and keeping founders engaged in the business.

Timothy Henry, Chief Executive Officer at Conscious Capitalism, said:

“The Leadership Continuity Plan that the LAZ leadership team has developed over the past two years is a study and testament to Conscious Leadership and how purpose-led organizations build a lasting legacy of stakeholder capitalism. By intentionally developing leaders from within, maintaining founder engagement, and prioritizing culture as a strategic asset, LAZ has created a model that other organizations can learn from as they think about stewardship, growth, and long-term impact.”

Jobs And Hartford Expansion

The anticipated roles span parking management, transportation services, mobility hubs, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, autonomous vehicle support services, technology and innovation, customer experience, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and corporate and field leadership.

In Hartford, LAZ expects its headquarters expansion to accommodate more than 100 positions across technology, finance, human resources, operations, marketing, customer experience, data analytics and strategic growth. The investment extends the company’s presence in the city where it was founded and has maintained its headquarters for more than four decades.

Alan Lazowski, Chairman and CEO at LAZ Parking, said:

“Hartford is where LAZ was built, where our culture was born, and where our future continues to be shaped. As we expand throughout North America, we are equally committed to growing right here at home. This investment reflects our confidence in Hartford, our workforce, and the future of Connecticut.”

New Executive Structure

DiPaolo, currently President of the Midwest, joined LAZ in 2005. Svendblad, President of the West Coast, joined in 2008. Together, they bring more than four decades of leadership experience at the company.

The founders, Alan Lazowski, Jeff Karp, Michael Harth and Mike Kuziak, will join Chief Financial Officer Nathan Owen on the newly established Diamond Advisory Council. All five have committed to remain active in the business through 2032 and beyond, providing strategic guidance, mentorship and stewardship.

Under the structure, Lazowski will become Executive Chairman while remaining Chairman of the Board. Karp will serve as Managing Partner, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Initiatives; Harth as Managing Partner, People, Culture and Marketing; Kuziak as Managing Partner, Operations and Technology; and Owen as Managing Partner, Finance and Treasury.

Growth Through LAZ 3.0

LAZ will support its new Co-CEOs with an executive team including Eric Siskind as Chief Operating Officer, Steve Gresh as Chief Business Officer and Jason Bendett as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 July 2027. The company also plans to elevate 21 senior leaders as part of the continuity plan.

Its LAZ 3.0 programme centres on continued investment in mobility hubs, EV charging, autonomous vehicle support, artificial intelligence, digital commerce and integrated transportation solutions. With its planned recruitment and Hartford expansion, LAZ is pairing operational growth with a structured leadership transition built from within its organisation.
