United Parks Promotes Miller And Maupin
United Parks leadership updates see Kyle Miller promoted to President and Scott Maupin appointed Chief Parks Operating Officer.

United Parks & Resorts has promoted Kyle Miller to President and Scott Maupin to Chief Parks Operating Officer, effective 22 September 2026. Miller will work with Chief Executive Officer Marc Swanson and the executive leadership team on the company’s growth strategy, operational priorities and guest experiences across its parks portfolio. Maupin succeeds to the expanded operating role after serving as Co-Chief Parks Operating Officer. The leadership updates also include the departure of Chief Commercial Officer Christopher Finazzo, who will pursue new opportunities.
Miller Takes Presidency
Miller previously oversaw operations across the company’s park portfolio as Chief Parks Operations Officer. His earlier roles included Park President of SeaWorld Orlando, Discovery Cove and Aquatica Orlando, while his career with the organisation began at Busch Entertainment Corporation in 1995.

Maupin Assumes Operating Role
Maupin joined United Parks & Resorts in May 2026, bringing more than 30 years of theme park, resort and hospitality operations experience. Before joining the company, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Merlin Entertainments, leading its North American portfolio of 45 entertainment destinations. He also held senior leadership roles with Great Wolf Resorts and Six Flags.

Focus Across The Portfolio
The appointments position Miller and Maupin in two senior roles as United Parks & Resorts pursues its operational and growth priorities across its portfolio. The company owns or licenses seven brands spanning 13 parks in seven markets across the United States and Abu Dhabi.
