The Inner Circle has named Neil H. Fishman, CPA, CFE a Pinnacle Professional Member of its Inner Circle of Excellence, recognising more than three decades of work in accounting, tax, finance and business advisory services. Fishman owns Fishman Associates CPAs and has led the firm since assuming control in 2001, after joining his father’s practice in 1989. Licensed in New York and Florida, he provides tax preparation, accounting and financial consulting services to individuals, entrepreneurs and corporations. The recognition reflects a career shaped by professional service, industry participation and client-focused financial guidance.
A Career In Client Service
Fishman Associates CPAs offers services designed to address individual and corporate financial goals, with tax, accounting and financial consulting among the practice’s areas of work. Fishman’s experience spans tax, finance and business advisory services, alongside an emphasis on professionalism, integrity and diligence.
He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta and has maintained involvement with professional bodies throughout his career. His affiliations include the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, the New York State Society of CPAs, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and the Forensic CPA Society.
Professional Leadership Roles
Fishman currently serves as President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, having previously held the post from November 2018 to October 2020. As the organisation’s representative to the National Public Liaison Office at the Internal Revenue Service, he contributes to work focused on transparency and collaboration within the accounting profession.
From 2015 to 2017, he served on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council, where his work focused on issues dealing with identity theft. His professional qualifications include CPA, CFE, FCPA and CAMS designations.
Industry Recognition
Accounting Today named Fishman among its Top 100 Most Influential People in the Profession in 2019, 2024 and 2025. The National Conference of CPA Practitioners presented him with its Gold Award in 2022 for service to the organisation and profession.
In 2025, the International Association Of Top Professionals awarded Fishman a Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the profession. FORBES Magazine also recognised him in 2026 as one of the top CPAs in the State of Florida.
Continuing Professional Commitment
Fishman credits his father, Manuel, for guidance and inspiration, and expresses gratitude to his wife, Cheryl, for her support. Alongside his professional commitments, he enjoys time with his family, theatre, baseball, hockey and golf.
