VentureIsrael has appointed Evgenia Zaslavskaya as Venture Partner, expanding a communications relationship that has been in place since 2022. Zaslavskaya will lead international communications for the Israeli early-stage deep tech fund and act as a resource for its portfolio companies. The appointment brings more than 15 years of public relations experience into the fund’s venture partner team. Zaslavskaya is founder and CEO of Zecomms, an international communications agency serving technology companies and investment funds across the US, UK, Europe and MENA.

Communications Role Expands

In her new position, Zaslavskaya will work on making VentureIsrael’s strategy, track record and expertise visible to investors, partners and customers across the US, UK and other international markets. Her remit includes global market positioning, relationships with business and technology media, partners’ public profiles, and the news narrative around the fund and its portfolio.

Portfolio founders will also be able to access communications expertise covering their technology, teams and traction.

Rafael Gold, Managing Partner at VentureIsrael, said:

“We've worked with Evgenia and her team for several years now and have seen first-hand how much strategic communications shape the way the market perceives a fund and the companies it backs. Bringing her into the venture partner team is a natural next step for us: we want this expertise inside the fund, available to every founder we support from day one. Evgenia understands both the venture market and Israeli deep tech, and that combination is exactly what we need right now to grow further,”

Experience Across Technology Markets

Zaslavskaya founded Zecomms in 2022. The agency works with technology companies and investment and venture funds in the US, UK, Europe and the MENA region, with projects spanning AI, cybersecurity, robotics and health.

In 2025, she was named Best Leader in Public Relations and Communications at the Davos Communications Awards.

Evgenia Zaslavskaya, Venture Partner at VentureIsrael, said:

“Israel has a vibrant tech market with many products worth talking about, and I want to bring more of them to a global audience. Partnering with VentureIsrael—a firm I've worked with for many years, and one that has backed some of the country's most interesting deep-tech companies—is a natural place to do that,”

Support For Deep Tech Portfolio

VentureIsrael invests in early-stage Israeli technology companies in AI, cybersecurity, space, quantum technologies and other deep-tech segments. The fund has been ranked the third most active venture capital investor in Israel.

Its portfolio includes more than 30 technology companies, while the team has completed more than 50 investments and more than 10 exits through the fund and the partners’ earlier investment activity. The appointment positions communications support as part of VentureIsrael’s offer to the founders it backs.
